Social Adjustment 

Lao Family continues to offer a variety of multilingual Social Adjustment services that help new arrivals with extremely limited English-speaking abilities transition to their new lives in the United States.

Social Adjustment services include:

• Interpretation, translation, and administrative support to help families write letters or fill out forms to access low-cost utilities and other crucial services
• Providing information about U.S. systems—from public transit to paying bills to accessing financial institutions
• Enrolling children into the local school district
• Helping individuals secure healthcare and a full-range of social services
• Providing guidance as families walk through citizenship programs
