The Walk to End Poverty, hosted by the City of Oakland Community Action Partnership, in collaboration with other local organizations, will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Lake Merritt in Oakland.  The community walk aims to raise awareness about the conditions of the 76,489 people who are faced with poverty every day within the City of Oakland.

A Community Fair will be held immediately following the walk to educate and inform an expected 500 participants about available opportunities to assist Oakland’s low-income community.

Be sure to stop by our table from 11am to 1pm to learn more about our programs and how you can benefit or get involved!
